In their address, “your appointment never came to us as a surprise because of your track records over the years; we termed your appointment as an archetypal, round peg in a round hole and square peg in a square hole”. They prayed for God’s wisdom for him to be able to lead the hospital to an enviable height.

The group also used the medium to solicit Management’s support for employment opportunity in the hospital whenever there is vacancy for more nursing staff, stating that the former Medical Director promised them that he would give them priority in the next phase of recruitment exercise but unfortunately his tenure has expired.

They thereafter presented an adorned hand-designed portrait of the Medical Director to him, including the donation of Waste Baskets, Mops, Mop Buckets, and Detergents to assist in the cleaning of the hospital.

The Medical Director thanked the erstwhile students for the gift, the donations, as well as for congratulating him on his appointment. As regards their request, he assured them of Management support, adding that management usually gives preference to students who have graduated from the hospital’s school because of the quality training and ethical values that have been impacted in them during their studentship. He however enjoined them to be diligent and to avail themselves whenever the hospital advertise for vacancy.
