SIGNING OF MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN EDO

History was again made today, Friday, 26th April 2019 in the hospital when the management of Edo University Iyamoh, visited the management of Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Benin City, on a courtesy visit. The Medical Director, Dr. Sunday Osasu Olotu warmly received and welcomed Engr. (Prof.) Emmanuel Aluyor, Vice-Chancellor of Edo University Iyamoh, and members of his entourage on a courtesy visit to the management of the hospital on this historic visit. He formally congratulated the Vice-Chancellor on his well-deserved appointment as the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the University which had, within a short period of time distinguished itself in academic performance and research as the 3rd best ranked university in the country by the National Universities Commission (N.U.C.) and wished him more successes in the years ahead. He assured his visitors that the hospital was ready, willing and capable to partner with their university for the training of its medical students and nursing students respectively in the area of mental health. In his response, the Vice-Chancellor thanked the Medical Director and his team for the warm welcome accorded his team on this visit to the hospital for the very first time. He also thanked the Medical Director for his willing disposition to partner with the Edo University Iyamoh, towards the training in mental health for both medical students and nursing students respectively. He also stated that one of the reason why his team came calling was to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (M.O.U) to underscore the importance his team attached to this historic visit. At the end of the visit, both the management of the Edo State University Iyamoh (EUI) and Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Benin City, (FNPH) respectively signed a Memorandum of Understanding (M.O.U) for the training of medical students (MB. BS.) 500 Level and 600 Level respectively and nursing students (B. Sc) in Mental health nursing.
